8. How to plan an ecologically wedding?
Answer: Marriage should not be an opportunity to wasting resources unnecessarily, even if you are preparing for a grand party. You can do a few simple steps and your wedding won’t damage the environment.
To prepare such a green festive, you don’t need more resources, but much aesthetic sense. You can create festive decorated cakes, wedding jewelry or decorations.
In “Green wedding”, a book written by Mireya Navarro, you can find out different alternatives for planning a festive event that will not harm the environment.
"Everything must start from a desire to avoid waste and excess. Ecology does not spend too much and do not waste," Navarro said, adding that it must respect the principles of ecology when planning a wedding: reduce, reuse, and recycle.
You can start right from the rings, which may be made of recycled gold or silver, although it may take some time to find a company to produce recycled metal jewelry. Eco-wedding recommend "Greendiva", a company that produces jewelry out of recycled materials. You can even choose a set of jewelry that you no longer like and melt them using the gold for the wedding rings.
In terms of wedding invitations, certainly the easiest solution is to send electronic invitations: protect the environment and get out much cheaper. But considering that tradition still requires sending invitations as classical label, it is possible to send invitations from recycled paper.
In what regards the flowers, you don’t need to grub up a greenhouse the size of a small park: you can very well organize an outdoor wedding or in the botanical garden, benefiting from green and flowers in their natural environment.
To reduce costs and pollution that a wedding it’s producing, try to organize the wedding near the town where most of your guests live. Certainly, a wedding planned outside the city, sounds like a beautiful dream, but think that it leaves traces to environment due the transport.
Wedding testimonials have become optional. If you’d like that all your guests have a memory from your wedding, you can opt for something perishable, such as cakes, homemade jam or chocolate. Some couples even choose to donate money to organizations for ecology, instead of buying favors.
Wedding dress is easily to transform it into a cross article, simply because you make lot of expenditure by wasting lots of money for a dress you’ll wear just once. You simply can choose a modern model to wear it elsewhere; you also can rent a wedding dress or buy a second hand one. Unless you want to wear another date, you can donate it!
Even the honeymoon can be a good opportunity to protect environment: instead of giving a lot of money on a vacation abroad or on a cruise, you can even find a quiet peaceful land where you can make eco-tourism.
