Wedding menu planning in summer time

Certainly every couple encounters difficulties when must to choose the wedding menu. Although  seemingly traditional food is the best, even here problems arise  because each restaurant shows a particular recipe to serving and  presentation.
In summer time, heavy foods and those that are served hot are not indicated, especially  in a wedding that supposedly your guests are dancing, becoming pretty warm.

Therefore we propose some useful ideas for summer wedding menu planning.
-The entree
The entree will contain cold foods which are low in fat. So sausages are not indicated, but vegetables, cheeses or seafood can be ideal ingredients. Seafood is very tasty, but it might not be everyone’s taste, so try to combine preparations served in the entree.
-Soup
Many menu can include a soup. Indicated is to choose those soups that are served cold, being refreshing.
-Ice
Although beverages are initially brought cold to the table, they will immediately warm in the summer atmosphere. Therefore  you can ask to bring at every table ice cubes, possibly with mint leaves  and lemon for those who prefer lemonade or some spirits which can be combined with  these “ingredients”.

Steak
Certainly a large percentage of guests would like the roast to the second kind. But what roast you’ll choose? As I said in the first row, it is advisable to avoid preparations with a high-fat content. So avoid pork steak, lamb or other fatty meats, and also the preparations which are obtained by roasting. You can choose grilled chicken or fish cooked in the oven with trim.

Cold Desert
Desert should not be confused with the wedding cake. Therefore you can choose different preparations. Ideally you should choose ice cream with natural fruit. Another  great dessert that I personally enjoyed such an event  consists of  chocolate prepared with natural berries, then put in fridge and then served with  cookies.  It is very refreshing and tasty.

These are my solutions for wedding menu planning in summer time. As I wrote in my article, in this season, it’s ideal to avoid high-fat products and opt for fruits, vegetables, ice cream and fat free meats such as chicken or fish. These types of products go well with the high temperature, but also with alcoholic drinks. Just imagine serving vodka, whiskey, wine and beer and sausages or pork roast. It’s summer time and you should opt for light products.

Don’t worry! Nobody would say a bad thing if you serve fish instead beef or pork. On the contrary, your plan will be appreciated because you consider the high temperature and the need of your guests to feel as refreshed! Even the dessert is more original, you can put your personal touch in the desert by choosing your favorite ice cream or your favorite fruits!

  1. Claritine says:

Channel the spirit of nature with a butterfly theme. Or go for full-on romance with roses. And by all means, do NOT limit yourself by location. You don’t have to live by the sea to do a beach theme. With a bit of creativity, you can give your guests that tropical vibe without going anywhere near an airport.
But choose wisely…the right choice can help save thousands on your overall wedding costs.
