Wedding Guides + Planners + Info + How To

Planning a wedding begins very early in a woman’s life, probably together with the never-ending tales we have read when we were children. The little princes marries Prince Charming and they have a dreamy wedding attended by all the people and a marvelous celebration.

Once the prince and princess get married, plans start popping up in our minds as well: a long white dress, a ton of guests, a memorable event. These are things we have kept thinking in what seems like ages. They are very familiar to us but, when they are about to come true, things seem to become more complicated.

And if you thought the hard part is finding that Prince Charming, then you should try making the restaurant reservations for that very important day. You don’t stand a chance if you are trying to make these reservations two weeks before the event, especially if you want to get married in the summer! This is why I have compiled a little something I like to schematically call “wedding guides + planners + info + how to” so you should grab a seat and start reading.

6 - 8 months before the event:

You should inform your family about your plans. Gather everyone, the parents, the godparents and the cat, have a nice big dinner (at your expense) and tell them what is on your mind: number of guests, theme, location of the religious ceremony, restaurant and so on. If everyone is aware of the details, you will not wake up at the wedding with a tripled number of guests and not enough chairs. If you manage to reach consensus, you should make reservations at the restaurant and also at the church.

4- 6 months before the event:

You need to think of a bride’s dress. The options are many, but what matters is that you consult as many magazines as possible and also websites in order to decide on the model. You will be surprised to see that most of your choices are somewhat obsolete and the new trends are truly interesting. Give them a try!

2- 4 months before the event:

Order the invitations and table cards, which need to be at least 10 more than the initially set number of guests. You never know when you might remember some aunt or cousin you forgot about. You can starts sending the invitations or handing them personally to the guests. For close friends you could go with an electronic invitation, something artsy, with a lot of fun and some good music!

You should go also to the restaurant, the venue that will host the reception, and discuss the menu and also the table setup as well as other decorations: balloons, seat covers, napkins and other such things. Also, don’t forget to plan the honeymoon and the bachelorette party.

One week before the event:

Make a list of tasks for each important member in the ceremony – groom, godparents, in-laws and parents. Last but not least, go to a spa or get some beautification treatments and spoil yourself a little! In the hope that you find my little “wedding guides + planners + info + how to” useful, I wish you good luck and may this be the best and most beautiful evening of your life.
