No longer a novelty: colors influence our lives. Stimulating the retina in some way, it sends stimulus to the brain that associate the certain color with other brain areas, triggering emotions. Thus, according to the social style where we lived and how we learned our behavior, the colors send a discreet message to our affective plan. Depending on your personality, a person feels better or less good when viewing (sets, cameras) or wearing (clothes) certain colors. How many times have you been in a restaurant kept in mind as you feel there? Or a club or at a cafe… I’m wondering if somehow you don’t choose your room’s color catering for your feelings.




It is obvious that in an event as important as wedding, the colors, decoration rather, it is very important and … influential. There are tonic colors that predispose your guests to have fun, invigorate them, while other colors predispose to introspection, monotony, relaxation until dormancy or why not, nervousness, and depression.So, don’t we ought to know how colors affect us when we chose our wedding decoration, dress, suit or bouquet of flowers? There are two main variables you should choose not only the wedding planning colors, but also those of everyday life: how to characterize the personality and how they influence your behavior depending on where you are: bedroom, bathroom, office, service, etc.

Significance of colors and wedding planning colors
Red: persons who love this color are vivid and sources of inspiration for others. Sometimes they may want so much attention, that would do anything. They can be passionate, but also impulsive and vengeful. As background, red accelerates the heartbeat, enhances the attention of the observer, being a color indicated for the wedding party, but not to excess, rather situated around the dance floor or at the entrance. Usually, restaurants use red to attract clients and boost their appetite. Remember, the red should be used to emphasize something, but not as dominant background. Red in an auditorium used occasionally makes people lose track of time, so it is used for example in bars or casinos.

Pink: is the color of love and also the most romantic and emotional color. Stimulates creativity and spontaneity and makes those who see this color to love the world, to be more lenient, more joyful. Pink is meant to soothe and calm emotions. Diminishes the negative attitude and prone to positivism. So that’s other great color for your wedding decor. Orange: is an appropriate color for open spaces or to open spaces which are not so large. It is a color that gives confidence, sense of protection, being the maternity color. This color combats depression, induces joy, warmth and sensuality. Also this color is slightly relaxing, even with antispasmodic effect. Orange creates strong emotional sensations, feeling of closeness, improves communication, being a sociable color, but used with measure. Is considered the color of happiness.

Yellow : induces inspiration and optimism, being considered the color with the greatest capacity of nervous excitement. Toning, inspires confidence and power. Stimulates and maintains alertness, so guests will not feel tired or sleep. Also increases attention, prone to communication, giving a feeling of warmth and intimacy. Yellow is indicated for your wedding decor.
Green: excellently fights against stress. Relaxes the retina, relaxes the body, but also the color is financial gain. Prone to great mood, hope, but also to introspection.

This color is ideal for wedding decoration when is associated with other tonic shades, with pink flowers for example, or with red, orange or yellow.
Blue: people who love this color like the sequence, dedication and compassion, but are emotional natures, sensitive and do not trust others. As background, blue color induces peace, authority, trust but quiet. Induces drowsiness, diligence, meditation, and can even lead to depression. It is a color that, if desired, you must be careful to introduce in your wedding decoration and are recommended especially blue shades lighter or electric blue.

Purple: is the color of indifference and to understand exactly what it is, I mean that dark purple or which contains more blue than red (purple is either in equal proportions, easily tends to be red). Incites at spirituality,  but can leads to violence. It is advisable to associate it with colors like red or pink. Violet : Has a stimulating effect, disquieting and deterrent, giving the sensation of gravity. Prone to melancholy, but may have adverse effects if is joined by green, pink or white.

White: means new, untouched, honestly. Gives a feeling of expansion, ease, peace. White enhances the effect of other colors.
Black: suggests sobriety, depression, separation, confusion, indecision, anxiety, weight, finally, having a strong negative influence. Recommended if you want to use it as elements of separation or to contrasts other colors.
