When my friend together with her beloved one had decided to get their wedding before she gave birth to their child it was kind of unexpected for everybody in their family and circle of friends. They had previously told everyone that they would have the wedding after they had the child, but meanwhile plans had changed. They announced their wedding to be a simple one, as they planned to invite only 30 persons, mostly family and only the friends as bridesmaids and groomsmen. She invited me as I was at that time the girlfriend of the groomsman and because I was also good friend to her, I liked to think.

They have also thought of the fact that their budget won’t be that large, since they needed to save money for the upcoming birth event. But because of her pregnancy state they saw themselves compelled to ask for a simple wedding planner to assist their wedding organization. And all that follows are the details she narrated to me long after the wedding day has been consumed. They were first programmed for a small consultation where they have exhibited their wishes toward a small intimate wedding with guests from both their families and one bridesmaid and one groomsman.

These were the aspects they had presented to the wedding planner and from that point on he took the planning on his shoulders. My friend was relieved to see that they were contacted only to be delivered some details and to be asked if they agree or not upon some details the simple wedding planner had previously planned for the event. It was easy for him as he was already aware of their wishes and the moment he got in touch with them he did so only to get their opinion and final agreement. They were also pleased to see that the wedding planner was of a great help while negotiating with the vendors and caterers in order to get the best prices when it came to floral arrangements and the buffet for the wedding reception.

As for the official ceremony he found an original location that didn’t involve a religious long service but instead he managed to organize a small official service ran inside a folklore museum which exhibited wedding traditions throughout five decades of the city’s existence. It was an interesting location filled with nostalgic moments of the wedding ceremonies that had been performed inside that historic place. The museum provided even a photographer that was able to professionally shoot the movie of the wedding reception.

The wedding planner’s advice was for my friend to acquire a wedding dress ordered from the ones that suited most to other social events than a long trained wedding dress that beside the fact that it would have cost too much it required also some alterations due to her pregnancy. So my friend ended up purchasing a simple wedding dress but which looked very nice on her body, concealing in a decent way her waist and belly. The wedding celebration was a simple one but being performed in a relaxed atmosphere it allowed everybody to feel more at ease and enjoy the benefits of an intimate wedding party.
