Sample Names For Wedding Planning Businesses

Starting a business is unpredictable and very tiring. There are so many things that need to be taken care of (legal documents, location, employees, name etc.) before even beginning to plan your new business. And a wedding planning business is no exception. Choosing a name for your business is very important because this will be your “card” when meeting new people. Your face will be associated with your company and implicitly its name.

I became curios, so I have started looking some sample names for wedding planning businesses; some of the ones I have found were really funny and playful (“Here Comes the Bride”; “All’s Well That Ends Well”, “Pop the Cork”, or “Shotgun Catering”).

But if you really want to make your business work, forget about these sample names of wedding planning businesses and create your own brand. What better thing to do when personalizing your business then starting with the name?

Here are some tips that will hopefully be of any help for those who have these kinds of problems. Begin by selecting a name that is easy to say; usually these names are remembered and spread easier. Also, try to think of a name that is easy to spell. Common words that can be easily found on the internet are more likely to be remembered than any other complicated words. Some people invent new words or spell their own backwards, but I don think that if Oprah did it, you will all have the same luck.

Keep in mind to connect the name of your business with the niche in which you want to work. You can’t name your company “Private wedding planners” if you intend to work with low-budget couples.

Although difficult, think of a more traditional name that will remain in people’s memory for a long time. Don’t choose a name that is popular only for a period of time, because later one, people might not understand it. And last but not least, make sure that you have an “.com” URL, this being the most popular in the United States. Usually, people just assume that is “.com” so they don’t bother to check it and they might end up finding someone else when they were actually looking for you.

Don’t forget to check with your local government to see whether the name you have chosen is available or not. And if not, don’t panic: you can still have the name you want but adding another word at the beginning or at the end of it. Don’t use hyphens in your company’s name because people rarely remember them and it would be a shame to lose valuable clients because of a small misunderstanding.

I hope that these tips on how to pick your company’s name have helped you and you can forget about sample names for your wedding planning businesses. It is more enjoyable to see people who appreciate your creativity and artistic sense used in developing a proper name. Good luck in your new businesses and don’t forget to be inspired!
