Quotes From The Wedding Planner

“Wedding Planner”, the movie, has all the ingredients that make a movie to be a romantic comedy. It has funny situations, love at first sight, struggle between what is the best to do in a given situation, and most of all it delivers the feeling that fate is playing a big part in our life. The rhythm of the movie is quite alert; actors perform in a way that renders the movie the scent of real.

The story of the movie revolves around the professional wedding planner Maria who accidentally bumps into the future husband, Steve, of one of her clients, Fran. This accidental encounter casts Maria and Steve into the realm of love at first sight. While this happening is still not very well comprehended by the two protagonists, another character comes into the picture, Massimo, a former childhood love of Maria’s. And the movie starts to display tangled threads that Maria is weaving in the attempt of figuring out about the rightness of her decision in marrying either one or the other.

quotes-from-the-wedding-plannerIn one of the scene Steve is telling Mary that the night they had spent in the park revealed Mary to him in a way that made him remember every feature of her face. A quote from the Wedding Planner regarding this scene: “But I do know the curves of your face and every fleck of god in your eyes”. He is actually confessing his love towards her, but Mary doesn’t want to listen since she is aware of the fact that she has started to grow found for Fran, who is the woman that Steve is supposed to get married to.

Massimo in his turn tries to do the best to win Mary’s heart and in one of his lines he goes like this, quote:” Love can’t always be perfect. Love is love”. He knows that love is not perfect, since perfection doesn’t have to be its main feature; love is merely love, a feeling that you have to take and live with it and enjoy it so long as it is there. Love is not something that one meets just around the corner, or is not something that you can go and purchase from your Supermarket.

Other quote from the Wedding Planner is Mary’s reply regarding her actual state of a single: “Y’know, ‘those who can’t do, teach’? Well those who can’t wed, plan.” She wants to mention the fact that being a professional in this field requires a lot of sacrifices, including spending most of a day time in organizing the wedding, thing that can not be performed other than giving your full commitment.

“Wedding Planner” featuring Jennifer Lopez, as Mary, and Mathew McConaughey as Steve, is a fine description of the job of a wedding planner displaying the aspects of this job from the perspective of a woman wedding planner who has to sacrifice pieces of her private life to turn a wedding event into a dream that comes true.
