Quotes About Wedding Planning
Weddings are celebrations of the commitment between two partners who want to spend their life together, with God’s blessing by their side. But planning a wedding is just a small part of the entire process of a marriage. I remember that when I was a child, I used to watch “Sabrina, the teenage witch” and it was an episode where she was planning her wedding but didn’t know what to do, so that her wedding could be perfect. So she asked Cinderella, who had had a gorgeous wedding, but found out that being so fixed on her wedding details, she forgot about the wedding itself and she drove away Prince Charming.
Even the stories tell it, ladies: a wedding is important but not vital, because you may have a beautiful wedding and an awful marriage and the other way around. Searching over the internet, I managed to find some
quotes about wedding planning which, in my opinion are perfect for our discussion.

Dolores Stone said that : “Often the female is infatuated with a “wedding” more that a marriage. The wedding is the ultimate showcase and the relationship then quickly subsides afterwards. Beware young men on this one!”. The same opinion is shared by the lovely couple Lilo and Gerard Leeds (“Wonderful Marriage”): “Unless you plan to elope secretly in the dark of night, or have planned a small intimate wedding, you may soon find your wedding plans escalating out of control. This one-sentence wedding mantra may be helpful. Recite it to yourselves in those moments when everyone about you seems to be going crazy with the planning details: The point of the wedding is to celebrate our love and make a public commitment to each other for life. Everything else is extra.”

For those of you who are more religious, I also found
quotes about wedding planning in the Bible, that teach us to respect our promises made in front of God and to cherish the institution of marriage if we intend to pursue this road. Here is a quote from the Ecclesiastes 5:2-7: “ Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few. As a dream comes when there are many care, so the speech of a fool when there are many words. When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it.”
Marriage is a serious thing and it should be treated as such. Instead of a conclusion, I decided to display 2 quotes about love and marriage that impressed me very deeply. The first one is a quote of Martin Luther who said that “There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage”, and the second belongs to Antoine de Saint-Exupery :”Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.”
