Planning the wedding day with chocolate taste

I thought to start a series of articles about planning the wedding day having in account a certain theme and how such projects can be done, starting with the location, decor and then the small details that materialize the chosen theme. I will not talk about wedding dresses and accessories because, in my opinion framing this issue in the wedding theme is optional. Choosing a theme wedding is a difficult process, it can even start with your hobbies, favorite colors or only the simple desire to do something special.




Thinking of a sweet and tasty dessert, we chose the first proposal for planning a wedding day on “Chocolate” theme, with brown and cream shades, with accents of green pistachio, pink or blue, suitable for the romantics and lovers of sweets. Location isn’t essential in this case, it can be any restaurant, ballroom and even an outdoor tent. The only mention is that it should allow using decorations and colors that  you opt for, because it is well known as a restaurant with rustic decor will not ever turn into an elegant place, make any effort.

Supposing that we choose a neutral location of decor and the chromatics, the next step is to determine the color of the wedding, “alive”aspect with remains to each option, but in my opinion it is necessary. Flowers are another important aspect. The contrast can be a total one or a combination of colored accents.  Regarding the arrangements, you should opt for  a compact version, no greenery, with flowers like Hortensia, variant found in white, green, pink and even blue, roses, peonies and even fruits.

To arrange the presidium table, we propose an arrangement of flowers on the table edge, with only candles or simple candlesticks from place to place, which are very impressive. Do not be scared of colors and bold combination! I would go on variant like “coated chocolate”, which means I would cover the chairs and tables in brown satin or taffeta. I then increase with shades of green pistachio, pink or blue, to be included in the napkins, chairs bows and floral arrangements. Choosing the color will give the look of a chocolate cake decorated with cream.

Ultimately I have to specify the accessories, namely favors, place cards, menus and all the small details that complement the theme. In this case the variations are endless, you can order even small figurines of strawberries with chocolate glaze and the effect will be great. Of course a chocolate cake should be mandatory and supplementing it can also choose a chocolate fountain with fruit related. Fun and good humor remain in your account.
