Planning An August Wedding

There are certain aspects you need to take care of when planning your wedding: date location, guests etc. I consider the date of a marriage very important because the weather has a great influence over our actions and personality, changing our spirit without even noticing it. In my opinion, the best time to plan a wedding is August or early September because, as a person who loves summer and can’t get enough of it, this is the prefect time. Planning an August wedding, especially a late August one, is excellent because you don’t have to worry that it will be too hot and at the same time you will feel the autumn nostalgia getting closer and closer.

First of all, when planning an August wedding, you need to make sure that you are given air conditioning in every room of the location you choose. It might be the last month of summer, but sometimes the heat tends to be unbearable. So prevent your wedding of being ruined by this small but significant detail. The best thing about planning a wedding in this month is that you will have millions of ideas about how to decorate your location.

You can start with the flower arrangements and use vibrant and playful flowers like zinnias, asters, mums or little sun-flowers. These will make the room more colorful and you can change them to get the atmosphere that you need. If you opt for an elegant style, you can arrange the zinnias into iron urns, preferably black, but if you want something more rebellious, you can plant them in clay pots or tie them in small bouquets.

As decorations you can easily use fresh apples. These are symbols of the fall that is about to come and also of prosperity and wealth. Not to mention that it will create a beautiful scenario that will definitely impress your guests.

Secondly, you have to think about food and drinks. Make sure that the food you have chosen is not made of mayonnaise, sauce or anything that can go bad because of the heat. Being a summer wedding, you can opt for something light like salads, appetizers with vegetables and fresh fruit. For drinks, the best option would be lemonade served in glass jars, perhaps mixed with a little vodka for a plus of flavor. For the wedding cake, try to continue the chosen theme. A chocolate cake, decorated with little, colorful flower is the perfect ending to your awesome wedding. In order to make sure that you won’t have any problems, try to combine your chocolate cake with some fruit, especially if it is very hot. The fruit will “absorb” some of its sweetness and your cake will be a delight, even for your most pretentious guests.
