Planning A Western Wedding
For certain couples, the Wild West, the country music, the cowboy outfit etc. represent a way of life. Others aspire to this kind of life. If you are one of these people and you want your wedding to be planned according to this lifestyle, I invite you to read this article.
Planning a western wedding is not very difficult, although it is very different from what your guests might expect, but keep in mind that it can be a fun and memorable event.
When
planning a western wedding, or in fact, when planning any kind of wedding theme, begin by setting your budget. This precaution method can save you a lot of trouble, especially when you are planning a stressful event like you wedding. Also, you won’t have to face the shame of running out of cash just when you are supposed to buy the wedding cake or worse, your wedding dress. So to avoid all this mess set a strict budget from the beginning of your work. After finishing with the budget, book locations for both wedding ceremony and reception. When you’ve done that, send invitations to your guests with details about place, date and time and remember to specify the wedding theme. To be more convincing, choose invitations that represent your theme: maybe with a cowboy on top, a cactus, a rope-like writing or use words and phrases that include western terms like: “Round up the youngins and wear good hat because Anna and John are gettin’ hitched!

In terms of clothing, wear western attire but don’t exaggerate. As a bride you can search some denim clothes matching a pair of cowgirl boots, while for the groom you can opt for a pair of denim jeans and a western shirt. Suggest in your invitations that your guests wear similar clothes for a stronger stylistic effect.
Decorations are here, my favorite part. You have plenty of options for your western wedding: wild flowers, cacti, sunflowers, cowboy hats, bales of hay, specific tablecloths (in white and red), an electric bull or horse, depending on your desires.
These decorations go great with a tasty food and lovely music. Don’t forget the western specialties like cornbread, barbeque, chili or baked beans. And if you plan to use chili, make sure that you provide big jugs of lemonade, fresh water and of course, beer. If we are still at the food category, don’t forget that the cake too, should respect the western theme. So choose a cake that has wild flowers, cowboys, horses, lassos or other interesting ideas that run through your head.

The music should also be something specific like a live band or some other entertaining activities, but you have to remember to include Rednex- “Cotton eye Joe” in your playlist. This song will definitely start the party going.
Although some might say that planning a western wedding is harder than planning a normal one, because you have to convince your guests to act and dress in accordance to your theme, I say that it is also a wonderful experience, particularly because is something unusual and many people love this.
