Many couples want a dream wedding, the money spent doesn’t matter as long as everything is perfect. Reality and the crisis teaches us, however, that weddings have budgets increasingly smaller and you should save up some money at least where is possible, to spent more for important things such as wedding reception or the bridal dress. Planning a wedding on a tight budget is not a very easy task, but you’ll see that you can save some money on things you wouldn’t think would allow you.
Create a site for wedding invitations is one of the most non-traditional ideas, which will be embraced by all your guests. They will consider it a novel, without thinking that you did it for economic reasons. In addition, you will be the ecological couple of the year because you haven’t wasted paper on invitations which aren’t kept anyway. It’s easy and cheap to buy a domain and make on it a small site that announces your wedding. Don’t forget to ask the registrations of all your guests to be sure that nobody accesses your data. You also should create a confirmation page and leave there your contact dates for those who won’t opt for an online confirmation. This method is ideal especially if your guests are young and familiar with the Internet. You also can print few invitations for those who have no access to the Internet, and still you’ll get cheaper.

Do yourself the invitations. Those who want to save money but also they want to create some utterly unique wedding invitations, they should do them theirselves instead going to a specialized typography. Whether you choose to create them on your computer, when one of the newlyweds or a friend is familiar with graphics programs and then just print them on colored paper, or make them manually, using colored paper, scissors with different models and various applications. Are many specialized handcraft shops, knitting, decorations and accessories, so you have from where to choose. Your guests will be very pleased to hear that you made yourself the invitations.

Simple invitations vs. accessorized invitations. Often, wedding invitations are not so expensive but their price jumps because of the various accessories applied on them. For example, many invitations include confirmation of participation, as a second invitation which will be sent to the couple by those who’ll attend their wedding and to specify the number of persons. You can give up to confirmation of participation if you’ll write your phone numbers on the invitation and ask your guests to call you for confirmation. Expensive invitations are usually printed on very thick paper or cardboard, are silk-screen printed instead of being simply printed, have more layers and accessories such as tracing paper or ribbons. They won’t be just very expensive to print, but also will be more expensive to send by mail. The solution is to choose simple and elegant invitations without too many unnecessary accessories. Choose a medium cardboard, slightly thicker than photocopying paper type and choose the normal print istead golden or silver print. The idea is that finally, when you look at wedding invitation, this shouldn’t look like kitch, although it was cheap. As more you’ll personalize your invitations, much less they’ll give the impression that they are cheap. Think that money spent on invitations can be used in your honeymoon. The things are a bit clearer now, right?
