Planning A Wedding On A Shoestring

Weddings are important moments in couples’ lives and therefore they need to be planned and appreciated as such. But what is left to do when your budget is not that big and it is too late to borrow money. You start thinking about planning a wedding on a shoestring.

Don’t despair because a shoestring wedding doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to give up on everything you have ever dreamed at, but it does mean that you need to cut back on some of the wedding expenses.

Here are some tips if you decide on planning a wedding on a shoestring. Start with the ceremony. Generally, if you plan to have it in an indoor venue such as a church or hall, you will definitely have to pay a certain sum of money that has to cover any unexpected accidents. These possibilities can be eliminated if you plan your wedding in the summer or in a warm month. There are hundreds of parks or gardens that can create the perfect setting for a romantic wedding ceremony. Not to mention the fact that you won’t have to worry about decorations or floral arrangements. If you have already set the date in a cooler period, don’t worry. You can plan it in your parents’ house or even in your own house if you have the necessary space. If you are inventive enough, any problem has a good solution.

Also, when planning a wedding on a shoestring a problem can represent the makeup, hair, photographer or dresses. The physical aspect is very important for every woman, but for a bride is vital, so it wouldn’t be such a disaster if you went to a professional. Just make sure that she or he respects your wishes and does exactly what you want.

You can also make use of your friends and family’s talents. From my personal experience, I can say that every family has at least one member in the cosmetic industry, so why not use his or hers services? The same thing applies to the art of photography. Of course, professional photos are always a delight to look at, but when your wallet screams you can satisfy your desire with pictures taken by your family members. Consider that they can even take shots form different angles and who knows what wonderful things can come out of boredom and play?

The attire issue is fixable too, but requires a lot of work. You don’t have to buy a $5,000 wedding dress just to feel good about yourself. There are prettier and cheaper dresses in factory outlets or local shops. Remember that some stores give huge discounts, so why not take advantage and see what it is all about.

These are just a couple of the ideas which you can use when planning a wedding on a shoestring. If you and your future spouse put your head to it, you might be surprised to see what wonderful ideas might come out of it. So use whatever materials you get and don’t be ashamed to ask for help!
