So I decided to make a list of things to do in 6 weeks. I am not getting married in 6 weeks but I am just trying to help others that are. Ok first thing first is to inform all your relatives and friends that the miracle happened and you are getting married, and they cannot escape. If you intend to plan your wedding then ask your relatives and friends to help you with the preparations.
Week 1: Decide the budget you will allocate and get the money. Calculate the cost involved. This is not a time to get cheap about this it’s a good idea to get wise with your budget. Obtain the appropriate marriage license.
Decide upon the location, outdoor, indoor, if you want your ceremony to be on a beach or in a park you should make reservations. Send your invitations. You can buy them or you can choose to be creative to make your own invitations I am sure people will appreciate originality more than just a traditional card. Book the wedding venue. Pick a date. And you should be flexible about this if the date you want is not available. Decide where the ceremony will be and book it. Inform the local registrars.
Week 2: Buy your wedding and bridesmaid’s dresses and accessories. >Arrange for your wedding music, decide on the foods, or ask some friends to prepare the food, coordinate the menu, and decide about the bride’s cake.
Week 3: Buy wedding rings depending if you are lucky enough maybe your spouse will buy them for you.
Week 4: Hire photographers or ask your friends to make as many pictures as possible but is wisely to have professionals doing that, hire make-up artists according to your budget. Choose the flowers.
Week 5: Decide the places where your relatives and friends will sit. And that is hard work you have to find out if there are any enemies between your relatives or friends so you will know to put them far apart you don’t want your wedding to be a war zone.
Week 6: Check out all the things above and ask others with experience if you forgot something. And don’t worry if everything is not perfect you can elope if you want to escape a traditional weeding it’s your choice.
So I made this list with the things I will do when the W-day will come. It’s not a perfect list and I don’t know if I put the things in right order but everyone should make their own list on how they intend to plan their wedding.
