Planning A Wedding Boston Area
Boston is the capital and also one of the largest cities in Massachusetts. With a long history behind it, Boston was founded in 1630 by Puritan colonists traveling from England. This is the main reason why in this area we may still find some features of the Puritan tradition. But this doesn’t have to be a tragedy when you are planning a wedding for example.
Planning a wedding in the Boston area can be a beautiful thing especially because of its meaningful traditions.
First of all, when
planning a wedding in the Boston area, you have to pay attention to the date you are picking up for your happy event. The best time to plan your wedding would be in late September or early October because the weather is acceptable and the hotels are not that expensive. Another option would be having your wedding in June, but your out-of town guests would want to see the blooming nature, which is not really the case at that time.

Further on, you should consider the location of your wedding. A great place to get married it would be the Crane Mansion or Castle Hill. This is probably the nicest house in Massachusetts and offers the guests the possibility of admiring the beautiful view of the ocean. Not to mention that you don’t have to worry about the little details. The staff that takes care of the events at the Crane Mansion is very experienced and it can help you organize your wedding without the help of a wedding planner. The main inconvenience is that the Crane Mansion is a little far from downtown Boston, so if you are unlucky and the weather is your enemy you should consider planning your wedding closer to the city or focusing more on transportation details.
If you have guests traveling from far away, you can consider entertaining them with a well organized weekend. For example, you can start Friday in the afternoon with helicopter rides over Boston and afterword a nice and quiet family dinner. On Saturday you can begin the day with a little trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire and continue the evening with salsa parties and drinks. Sunday you will keep them busy with the wedding and Monday a little brunch at home is more than welcomed. For the other services you can also choose from some of the best vendors in Boston who will happily help you. As a photographer we recommend David Benoit, for the helicopter rides you can discuss with the nice gentlemen from the East Cost Aero Club and for the catering service you can use the firm “Tables of Content”, one of the best in the industry.

Planning a wedding in the Boston area is not a difficult thing because Boston is a place of culture and tradition. Managing to blend in the beautiful history of our ancestors is one of the greatest things and it sure deserves to be praised. So if you have the opportunity to get married in Boston don’t hesitate to take advantage of it. You could even try to organize your wedding having a Puritan theme. It would sure be fun!
