Planning A Wedding At Night

Superstitious people would say that planning a wedding at night is not a good idea but after doing some research, I got to the conclusion that a wedding at night adds more romanticism and uniqueness to the wedding. Anyhow, if you opt for a wedding at night there are some elements that you should take into consideration.

To begin with, when planning a wedding at night, first you need to choose a venue. There is a big difference between an outdoor night wedding and an indoor one, so consider this when making your decision. If you want an outdoor wedding for example, you should inform yourself whether you are given any source of lightning and also if there is any windbreak in case you would like to have candles. Although candles are very romantic and set a magical atmosphere, you should be careful not to light a fire, especially if it is a windy evening. So put someone in charge (your family should be eager to help).

Related to the setting, whether you are planning an indoors or an outside wedding, don’t forget about the decorations. Floral arrangements are always welcomed and if you consider an outdoor setting for your wedding, you won’t have to worry much about them. But when it comes to an indoor wedding, the best solution would be to choose blooming flowers like jasmine, gardenias or night lilies, because they add color and bright up the atmosphere.

In the process of planning a wedding at night, remember to provide valets or assure your guests a well- lighted parking. No matter how romantic it would seem for you, the night still remains a time when our visual sense is diminished and many strange incidents can happen. Aside from that, you wouldn’t want your lady guests to walk a long distance to their cars.

The same thing goes for invitations and theme. Communicate to your guests that you are considering having a wedding at night and whether it is outside or indoors. Usually indoor weddings are more formal and your guests need a more elegant attire than in the case of outdoor weddings. So when sending them the invitations, announce that is going to be a night wedding and ask for a RSVP (respondez s’il vous plait-please answer) so that you could arrange your guests properly.

These are the main elements that should be kept in mind when talking about a wedding at night. It may sound a little more difficult to plan this kind of wedding, but the results will be laudable and your guests will relieve the magic of their own love. And why not, fall in love again. What better setting can a couple want on their wedding night than, let’s say, a warm summer evening, a garden full of flowers, the moon shining on the sky and their family and friends supporting them in their decision?

I hope that this article has opened some perspectives and that your wedding planning calendar will include some of the advice that it offered.
