Planning A Court House Wedding

Every woman dreams about the day when she will become a bride. A white, beautiful wedding dress, nice hair and makeup, expensive jewelries and thousands of guests. But what is left to do when you love your future husband very much and the budget is tight? You start thinking about planning a courthouse wedding! It doesn’t sound that funs, doesn’t it? We can imagine how you feel, but remember that it is more important for you to have a long and happy marriage.

Getting married at the local courthouse doesn’t mean that you can’t look fabulous. Here are some tips about what to do when planning a courthouse wedding.

First, take care of the legalities. It is vital to register for a marriage license if your don’t want to have unpleasant surprises. For you to do that, you need to pay a small fee, which can vary from one state to another. Getting your marriage license, generally takes two weeks but this also depends on the state you are applying in. Further, you have to think about two witnesses who could testify that you got married. Usually, these witnesses are  represented by the bridesmaid and the best man, but keep in mind that a witness can be any adult over the age of eighteen. So if you are in a hurry and have no one to witness your marriage, you can choose anybody who is over eighteen. Cool!

Even if it is not a big wedding this doesn’t mean that you can’t pamper yourself. On the wedding day do all sorts of things that will make you feel comfortable: manicure, pedicure, hair, makeup, choose a nice dress for your wedding and so on. And if you go through all this trouble to make yourself pretty, you wouldn’t want to lose these memories. You can ask any member of your family or a friend to immortalize the moment. You wouldn’t want to forget how beautiful and glamorous you were the day you became the Mrs.

In order for this day to be even better get yourself a wedding bouquet. You can’t afford one? That’s ok! You can pick up some wildflowers and tie them with a ribbon. They will give you a wild, rustic look which will definitely make you even prettier. After the magical “I Do!” you should go out and celebrate with your family and friends. It will give you the opportunity of going out for the first time as a newly wedded couple. Don’t forget about the honeymoon! After the proper celebration, go away with your partner. Even if it is for a single night at a hotel, this romantic escapade will help you celebrate your love. Over and over again!

You see, is not important to have a big, pompous wedding in order to be happy. When you are young you don’t tend to put so much value on material things but rather on what really matters to you then: love. So you get to a point in your life, when you stop to think what is more important: being young, poor and passionately in love or being divorced, old and with lots of money?
