Planning A Country Wedding

Usually, after they get engaged, couples start planning their wedding. Especially for brides, getting married is a very important process and that is why it should be prepared with maximum care and attention. After setting the date of the happy event, the most important detail to be taken care of is the location which has to be the “most romantic place on earth”. But this phrase has different meanings for different couples.

If many couples dream to get married in Hawaii, Amalfi, Cuba, Dubai, Jamaica, Bermuda etc, some consider planning a country wedding. Sounds fun doesn’t it? For those of you who are skeptic about this I recommend you think again. In this article I am going to present some elements that you should take into account when planning a country wedding.

First of all, choose the location of your wedding; this can be a farm, a nice park or a clean, beautiful barn. An outdoor wedding would be amazing and it would definitely add joy to your country theme, especially if you are lucky and the weather is good. The idea of holding your wedding in a barn can be fabulous if you know how to explore it right. Barns can be a great source of rustic elegance and usually, because of their imposing figure, are able to fit a large number of persons.

Next, choose the wedding clothing. As a bride, your “duty” is to wear a wedding dress, but wouldn’t be more festive to add some cowboy boots or a hat? You can also ask your guests to dress in the same style, dress the bridesmaids and groomsmen in jeans, shirts, cowboy boots and nice hats, and you got yourself a nice beautiful country wedding.

After this, you have to take care of flowers and music. Wildflowers are a great option for a country wedding because they add a lot of flavor to the theme. For example, daisies are very popular among these kinds of weddings because they give a very casual and fresh look. For the music you should consider hiring a live country band. Imagine how much fun you will have trying to dance “catnajo” or other wild country dances. Another thing to have in mind is the menu. This should be made of traditional country food like barbeque, baked beans or potato salad. To add a little fantasy to your menu, you can serve the food on an open hay wagon.

Planning a country wedding can sure be fun, but I must admit that you need to have a lot of courage to plan such a wedding. These tips are rather destined for the couples who can enjoy themselves everywhere, and appreciate more the time spent with their friends and family rather than material goods and luxury. I really admire such people and I think we should all try to act like them because creating long lasting memories and cherishing the time spent with our family is what matters the most. Money and luxury are just some minor details that help us achieve a certain degree of happiness, but we should bare in mind that love and commitment are still number one.
