I have been taught that dreams can’t be interpreted logically because they don’t have any rational explanation. We can figure that out from the way in which they appear. The other night I had a dream that I was sitting in my kitchen, which was actually the living room and I was taking a shower. So what should I understand of that? Or people who have nightmares where they are eaten by huge animals and then they go out to dinner with Superman. This is why many people dismiss dreams and ignore every attempt to see beyond reality.




But other people, especially when they are stressed out about an event, tend to exaggerate the interpretation of such dreams. Have you ever had a night dream of planning your own wedding? Well, try to remember the feeling you had when you woke up and multiply that to a thousand in order to understand what a bride might feel when she dreams that.

A night dream of planning your own wedding can mean, for a superstitious person that something wrong is bound to happen. And from this moment on begins the hysteria: taking care of every tiny detail, wasting time and sleep in order to prevent things from going bad. With the risk of pissing off the “believers”, I will say that such dreams probably only mean that as a bride, you are already under a lot of stress and dreaming that you are planning your wedding only reflects your daily actions. Try to relax and consider the help of a wedding planner or a member of the family if you can’t afford a wedding planner. It is normal to want to do them all, but is absolutely natural to not be able to do them. So asking for help is the wisest decision that you can take in these situations.

But popular folklore also has a number of interpretations when it comes to these kinds of dreams. Some sources say that dreaming that you are planning your own wedding or dreaming yourself as a bride is a bad sign, generally associated with death, suffering, sorrow or regret. This means that you are afraid of something and reveals feelings of anxiety and even depression.

Others, more optimistic, say that dreaming wedding stuffs symbolizes a new beginning or maybe a period of transition in your life. These are elements that are closely connected to some issues that you might have involving commitment or independence.

Every night dream of planning our own wedding can be associated with different aspects of our lives. If we have the patience to look through our thoughts, we come to the conclusion that we are the masters of our actions. Believing this, will prompt us to take responsibility and stop blaming outside sources for our mistakes. My intention is not to offend those who believe in dreams or other things like these, because having something to believe in is very important and even vital for some of us, but don’t take it to the extreme. Obsessions are never welcomed and we might end up losing people because of them.
