Mexico Wedding Planning

Mexico is the perfect place for those who are constantly in love with summer, tropical beaches and unforgettable moments under large palms. This is a federal republic bordered on north by the United States, on south and west by the Pacific Ocean and on the eastern side by the Gulf of Mexico. So wherever you go, your relaxation days are guaranteed.

If you are a young bride, who was just proposed to and you are terrified of what planning implies, take a deep breath and keep reading.

Wedding planning in Mexico is not very complicated, although the whole paperwork might give you a hard time. Those who are under 18 are not allowed to get married without a parental consent and those who are lucky enough to convince their parents, must be at least 16 (boys) and 14 (girls). Also, if you are both foreigners who want to get married in Mexico, you need a passport, a tourist permit, a chest x-ray (translated in Spanish), blood tests, four witnesses, and a legalization of your marriage certificate, just to be sure that everyone will recognize it as being valid.

Another interesting thing which you should know is that in Mexico only the civil marriages are seen as legal. A religious ceremony is not compulsory, but if you don’t get married civil, your marriage won’t count at all.

Regardless of what you might think, a local wedding planner will probably be more than welcomed in these situations. At least for me, all these documents and tests are very tiring, so a person who can take care of the rest of the wedding details is actually a good idea.

“Vallarta Original Weddings – VOW” is one of the companies which will help you with your wedding planning if you decide to have it in Mexico. This is a wonderful team that offers help not only with the legal paperwork, but also with finding the best location, caterer, photographer, DJ, wedding cake etc. If entering their site won’t convince you, people like Brian and Felicia (“Thanks for making our wedding a wonderful success. We had so many compliments on how well everything worked. You truly went above and beyond our expectations. You coordinated everything beautifully”) or Steve and Suzanne (“Thanks for all your help. We appreciate all the hard work you put into making our big day so special. Everything was beyond fabulous!!”) and many other couples that you will find on  www.vowsvallarta.com, will sure manage to do it.

“Micas de Miralls” is a similar wedding planning company which was created by two lovely ladies Federica and Arianna, who are more than happy to bring joy into couples’ lives (We are lucky women, We are doing the most beautiful job in the world, A job that becomes passion, zest…..a great emotion every time we read a happy face on our clients…thank you!! Thanks to every single person who trust “Micas de Miralls” every single day).

I recommend you give Mexico a chance because no matter how hard it will be to plan everything, at the end of it, you are going to lay down in the sun with your spouse and forget about everything.
