Planning events can be the most wonderful thing anyone can dream of : you get to use your artistic side , your creative sense and your love for parties. But for those people who want to search for jobs in the wedding planning industry but have no idea where to start we have some tips that may help them make a decision.




First of all, being a wedding planner is not a job like any other. You have the possibility to work from the comfort of your own home, taking care of the daily chores. But also as a wedding planner you have to support the nervous couple in their wedding day and take care of all the small, but significant details. So you are an important piece in this puzzle called wedding.

When it comes to jobs in the wedding planning industry you can choose from a variety of jobs: you can either be a wedding planner, which is the coordinator of the whole event, and one of the most important persons of the wedding, or you can take a job in other fields, related to wedding planning : florist, dj, caterer etc.

These are also interesting and also very beautiful jobs. Of course they are not strictly related to wedding planning, but they are important aspects that give a wedding the luxury and elegance which it deserves. As a florist, you get to pick the flowers that will make the wedding setting charming. Your duty is to offer the happy couple as many options as you can in order to satisfy everyone’s taste. Being a florist requires a lot of hard work in planting and taking care of all kind of species of flowers so my best advice is : if you don’t have a passion for flowers don’t start such a business!

The same example can be given in the case of the dj. He also plays a very important part in the whole wedding, because he has to entertain everyone. This is an exhausting job because at a wedding, the guests are from different age categories, but everyone has to have a good time. So you need to have a diverse playlist which can keep both children and grandparents happy.

Being  encharge of a catering  business is delightful. Everyone loves and appreciates a good meal, therefore at a special occasion, delicious food is needed in order to keep the guests happy. There are also risks here, because not everyone can appreciate a sort of dish or can be allergic to a certain ingredient. But these are the small details, that every job has to take care of and has to be prepared for anything that may come along.

As a conclusion, I must say that being a wedding planner is a very exciting and interesting job, but all these other jobs mentioned above are extremely important in creating the perfect wedding. All of these combine in a perfect harmony which makes your wedding day a truly special and unique one.
