J Lo In The Wedding Planner

Jennifer Lynn Lopez is one of the hottest singer, actress, dancer etc. in the world. Although the role of mother suits her very well, she still remains one of the most influential public personalities. She is most known for her rich musical career which began in 1999 with the album “On the 6” (referring to the “6 subway line” used when she was younger). Her second album was called “J.Lo” (a  nickname which latter became very famous- she said in an interview that even her mother called her “J.Lo” a couple of times), and along with the movie “The Wedding Planner” she became the first actress-singer to have both an album and a movie number 1, in the same week.

Speaking of movies, Jennifer can be proud of playing in an impressive number of productions. Her natural talent is proven by the fact that she has played in comedies, romantic movies, horrors, thrillers etc. If an actress is capable of creating so many different roles, then she must now her way around. Among the movies she has starred in, we can find: “My Little Girl;” “Money Train;” ”Selena;” “Anaconda;” “U Turn;” “The Cell;” “Angel Eyes;” “Maid in Manhattan;” “Enough;” “Jersey Girl;” “Monster-In-Law;” “El Cantante;” “The Back-up Plan” or “The Wedding Planner”.

J.Lo has starred inThe Wedding Planner” as Mary Fiore, a wedding planner who is so passionate about her job that she forgets about her personal life. This is until she meets a gorgeous man, Dc. Steve Edison, played by Matthew McConaughey. After he saves her from an “accident”, the two protagonists end up spending the afternoon together watching an old movie, dancing etc. Very soon, Mary’s dream is destroyed when she finds out that Steve is engaged to her best client and friend Fran Donolly. Because of their friendship, Mary agrees to plan their wedding and one day, while they were looking at floral arrangements, they run into Mary’s ex-fiance. He is happily married and expects a baby. This hits Mary’s sentimental personality and she drowns her sorrow in alcohol. Seeing her vulnerable and unhappy, Steve confesses that he is in love with her, but they decide not to do anything to hurt Fran.

In the meantime, Mary meets one of her childhood friends, Massimo, who is still in love with her and finally, proposes. Unable to think straight, Mary accepts but the wedding is doomed to fail because Steve can’t accept to lose her so he goes and stops the wedding. The movie ends with the image of the happy couple who is dancing in the same park they spent their first evening together.

This movie is just an example of Jennifer’s brilliant work. I can say from my own experience that “The Back-up Plan;” “The Wedding Planner” and “Monster-in-Law” are wonderful movies, which deserve your attention. I can assure you that nothing relaxes better than a glass of red wine, a warm blanket and a romantic comedy. So don’t waste your time and go make your life a little better. No one else will do it for you!
