How to save money planning a wedding? – part 2

If in the first part of my article called “How to save money planning a wedding“, I’ve talked about how to cut wedding costs in what regards the bridal dress, the wedding location and the menu, in this article, I’d like to devolve a little bit more the same topic. I’d like to share with you other effective tips about how to save money planning a wedding regarding the wedding invitations, the flowers, the bouquets, but also one of the most beautiful moments after wedding- the honeymoon, the precious guerdon of your most important decision you ever take in this life. So, here are my other tips for cutting wedding costs.

-Wedding Invitations: These are quite expensive, approximately 2-5% from the budget being spent on wedding invitations. To reduce to minimum the costs, you should go find out the stores that have such a business. Some stores offer the invitations for free if you’re going to buy some products from them. Some have certain discounts at certain invitation cards, discounts that have the main purpose to gather customers, so you won’t have troubles from a qualitative point of view. In this way, you can buy even cheaper the invitations.

Another idea would be that you can manufacture them at home. Search on the internet, go look in the stores and “steal” the wedding invitation idea, but also the text, then start working. You’ll need just paper, a printer, envelopes and ribbons if the model requires.

-Flowers:The décor and the bride and godmother bouquet can be very costly. There are even situations where the people who sell flowers don’t understand the model of the bouquet and you risk having problems in this sense. One way of reducing the costs would be to manufacture them yourself. Decide what model you like and buy flowers, ornamental plants, and also ribbons with which you want to fix the wanted flowers and ornamental models. If you’re going to do a comparison of prices you’re going to find out you’re going to save a lot of money. All that you’ve lost is time and some energy, but it’s worth it. Another advantage is that, if you’re still saving, you can make the flower bouquets more expensive, they’re going to be a lot cheaper anyway. Ask the help of your friends and relatives, if you don’t manage on your own.

-Honeymoon: Once the you’ve discussed and established everything  for the wedding day you’re going to have to think at how you’re going to spend your honeymoon. You can start planning ahead this wonderful period of time. Go at agencies and search for offers, some agencies offer even free trips for newly wedded. The sole inconvenience would be that the destination proposed by the agency wouldn’t be pleasing for you.

Plan and make everything together, that way, the tasks will seem easy and entertaining. I wish you a wonderful marriage and a wedding day like in fairy tales.
