History Of The Career Wedding Planning

People choose their careers according to their likes and dislikes, possibilities, talent and so on. But in order to succeed in any career you choose to follow, you need to work hard and passionate. Your dedication and commitment will hopefully be noticed by your bosses and you will have the opportunity to rise on the social hierarchy. In what concerns the wedding planning career, you need to have certain qualities that can make you a professional: creativity, coordination and communication skills, imagination, artistic sense etc. In order to help you make a decision, I have decided to get some information about the history of the wedding planning career.

There is no specific date concerning the beginning of wedding planning as a career. In the past, the weddings were planned by the brides and their mothers, helped of course by their servants (in royal families). The regular or poor couples usually opted for something intimate, without many guests, only family and some friends.

However, the history of the wedding planning career it is believed to have been derived from the specialists in event planning or different kind of vendors (caterers, florists, photographers, DJs, jewelers etc.). Noticing that people are more and more interested in wedding planning, the industry started developing and it still represents an interesting domain for many people.

Planning a wedding nowadays is harder because many people feel that only a big, pompous wedding would make them happy, so they spend money on different unnecessary things. Few are those who see their wedding as just one day and they truly appreciate the value of their marriage. Having a perfect wedding is important of course, but having a happy marriage is something of which few people can be proud of.

Sadly, weddings represent an industry which makes more money than we could ever imagine. During the ’60 and ’70, traditional weddings started to vanish, so the wedding locations were more and more popular. Not to mention the fact that you could arrange the place as you desired, while churches imposed certain rules.

But the most advantaged were the exotic countries and islands. Tourists started to dream at beach or garden weddings, under palms, gigantic banana trees etc. So the place where these were possible started encouraging this industry. Today, there are hundreds of wedding planners in every exotic country, each of them offering more interesting and alluring packages than the others, so that clients can choose what suits them best.

As you can notice, the history of the wedding planning career is not that special or filled with all sorts shocking events, but it has managed somehow, to be one of the most profitable industries. This is owed to people who knew how to advertise their business and worked hard in order to offer some of the best services. We all know that the companies who offer trust and impeccable services are the ones that manage to attract a higher number of clients than those who are less interested in their business. So whatever you do, do it with love and passion, because otherwise, your life will miserable and you will regret every single moment of it.
