History Of The Career Of Wedding Planning
Centuries ago, the wedding planning process was a rather simple one. Most often, the couple had a simple ceremony where they exchanged gold rings and promised to love each other forever. But nowadays, having a big, fancy wedding has become more like a trend than a thing you need to do for your own pleasure. Few people actually get married in a simple manner, with a small ceremony that celebrates their love. And because there are so many things to be prepared for a wedding, brides need help. And what better help than passionate, well trained wedding planners? But what do we actually know about the
history of the career of wedding planning?
People say that the wedding planning industry developed because couples became more and more busy and had little time to take care of their wedding planning. So in order to help them, event planners expanded their area and because they were already handling large events, they took over and transformed this into a profitable business industry.

Another idea about how the
history of the career of wedding planning began is that mothers were the ones that were in charge of preparing the big event. Of course, if the event implied many guests and thus a higher level of work, the whole family participated in the planning process. And because they were family, you can imagine that their work wasn’t rewarded financially, although the labor was intense. Nowadays, the cost of a wedding planner varies on the area, the complexity of the wedding, the budget and the wedding planner’s prestige. Usually, in the Northern areas, wedding planners can charge up to a four- digit fee, while in East, they are more likely to charge by the hour.
If at the beginning, wedding planners did all of the work by themselves, now this business has expanded rapidly. Many companies of wedding planning hire people who are supposed to take care of all the details (head wedding planners, assistants etc). Because of their hard work and ambition, these wedding planning companies have managed to develop a real powerful and successful industry. Taking into consideration that today hiring a wedding planner is a not a luxury, but a necessity, we should try to think more about this job.

Becoming a good wedding planner is not very hard. You need to be a good coordinator, love working with people and be creative. If those unqualified people from the Middle Ages managed to do a good job, I think any of us can dream of becoming a wedding planner.
The history of the career of wedding planning is not that complicated, fact which proves us that some of us have a sixth sense when it comes to planning. They are more alert, know how to bargain with the vendors, they love to make dreams come true and they love what they do. I truly respect and admire these people for having the courage to stand up and fight for what they want. Not many of us dare to do this.
