Fee For Wedding Planner

Weddings are singular (hopefully), happy events which represent a standard event of our youth. Couples remember their wedding day with joy and happiness and choose to forget about the stressful period they had to go through when planning the actual wedding. Another thing they forget is the amount of money they had to pay, although if it is a pompous wedding is harder to forget. In order to help the young couples who plan on organizing their wedding but have no idea what fee does a wedding planner charge I am going to present some scenarios.

Usually, a wedding planner charges 10 or 20 percent of the wedding budget, but this may differ, other coordinators choosing to charge by the hour or more commonly now, by the package. I am going to give some examples of cases when a wedding planner charges a fee. For a day of planning during which your coordinator will help you develop your wedding timeline, discuss with vendors and handle your beautiful wedding day, the regular fee is of $ 1,500. If you want more, you will have to pay more.

For the sum of $3,700 a wedding planner will take care of the wedding day and will offer support and advice during the planning process, but the couple will still be asked to arrange some minor details (making phone calls). If your desire is just to be “invited” to the wedding, I am sorry to announce you, but a bigger sum is needed. You will have to pay a fee somewhere between $5,000 and sometimes $10,000 for a full service planner.

Don’t worry, these prices are not inflexible; they vary from region to region. For example, in the northern part of the United States the cost of a wedding planner is approximately $3,636 while in the southern region is $2,635.

Be careful when you choose a wedding planner because for the fee asked, he or she should be able to offer a certain number of services. When talking about a consulting package, the wedding planner should recommend vendors, offer advice over colors, decorations or style and help the couple organize themselves. It is important to remember that the wedding vendor will not get involved with the small details but will be present on the wedding day to coordinate the event and to make sure that everything goes perfectly. On the other hand, a full service means that the wedding coordinator will help the couple decide over style, setting or theme, recommend vendors, send invitations and accompany the couple to the important wedding locations (florist, caterer etc). Remember though, that these offers vary from one wedding planner to another, so try to know for sure, from the beginning what services are included.

Taking into account that this is your special day and it must be perfect, no fee is too high for a wedding planner. The perfect advice is to choose whatever makes you happy and forget about money, because this is your day, the day you have dreamed at since you were a little girl. And you only get to so it once, so do your best!
