Cost Of Wedding Planner

For all those couples who have decided to get married and have no idea where to start preparing their wedding, I suggest they begin with the selection of a wedding planner. A wedding planner is a person who will be your best friend during the following stressful period. He or she will be your support and guidance in the complicated process of wedding planning. For those who are interested in this kind of career and want to know which is the cost of a wedding planner, this article can prove to be quite in handy.

First of all, we should be aware of what a wedding planner has to do. His main function is to assure that the wedding runs exactly as the happy couple has planned it. Hiring vendors, booking locations, ordering flower arrangements etc, these are all tasks that a wedding planner should be able to perform. Nevertheless, a wedding planner should preserve an optimistic and peaceful ambiance, even if he or she feels stressed or is just not in the mood.

And now, let’s go to the attractive part: the cost of a wedding planner. Starting with 2010 the cost of an average wedding revolves around the price of $20,000. From this price, generally, the wedding planner charges about 10 or 15 percent. But it is important to know that as a wedding planner, you have to be prepared to handle all sorts of  requests from the brides who just want to make sure that you are the right person for the planning of their wedding.

Another aspect which needs to be taken into consideration is the package chosen by the couple. As you may know by now, wedding planners have different offers for couples who want to get married. Usually, there are wedding planners who charge by the hour ($50/hour) if they meet the couple only on certain occasions and offer small advice and support, but you can also find wedding planners that charge $2000 if they are collaborating with the couple during the whole planning process.

For those couples who have a low budget, the best solution would be to search for a “day-of” wedding planner. This type of wedding planner is not going to be there on your big day, but can help you with other tasks like confirming vendors, searching venues etc. This is a more convenient  choice for couples who are not wiling to pay a large sum of money for the planning of their wedding, because these types of wedding planners charge only by the hour or a small percent of the wedding (4 or 5%) .

In order to avoid misunderstandings and even scandals, it is recommended for the wedding planner to have a list with the services he provides and the fees that he charges for every service.

Therefore, I think that you have all noticed that the cost of a wedding planner is not ridiculously high or unaffordable for an ordinary couple who decides to get married. That is why, wedding planners are persons who enjoy working with other people and love bringing  them happiness.
