Average wedding planning time

If the long awaited time had passed and he finally asked you to marry, well, congratulations, it’s time to start making plans especially if you dispose of just an average wedding planning time. A wedding doesn’t mean just a princess gown or a perfect hair style, planning means lot of details that you don’t know them  because you still hadn’t experiencing planning a wedding. Calm down! You can do everything on time and also perfectly if you’ll make a wedding calendar and you know what and when you must do.




The average wedding planning time is an year, but many couples start planning their weddings even with two years before, especially if they want to book a restaurant that’s always booked by other couples.
With at least 12 months before the date of the wedding, you must look for a local. In the big cities especially, is very difficult to find a wedding hall in time. Next is to set a wedding budget that you allocate and try not depart from it.

Only then you can start looking for a caterer or a wedding planner. You need at least a year before the wedding because you need to do a thorough search, to enter on  specialized sites, to seek opinions of those who were already married, to find the perfect collaborators for you. Now is the time to talk about religious marriage: find out if the church is available on the date you want and talk to the priest if you and you man aren’t the same religion. Now you can begin to look for the wedding dress. Warning though, if in generally you have weight problems, don’t buy the dress immediately, but rather book a dress and wait until six months before the wedding to see how your weight is evolving. Then discuss with your and his family and create the guest list: how many fit into restaurant, who you’ll invite and who won’t be invited.

With nine months before, you should start taking care about other details: looking for a DJ and a photographer for the wedding. Carefully review their portfolio and if possible try to go on recommendations. Even though beginners can work well, it’s important to find true professionals at a decent price, which correspond with the initially budget. Choose a theme for the reception and the decorations you’d like to use. Keep looking for the wedding dress. Does not hurt to start looking for flowers, choose the model of the the floral bouquet, especially if you want it customized.

It is time to end the guests list and start announcing them.
With six months before the wedding you should already have signed contracts with organizers of the party, with DJ or band, with photographer and cameraman. It is time to buy the wedding dress and make any changes early. The guest list should be completed and basically you should know who’ll come for sure. Select and send wedding invitations and make reservations of accommodation for the guests from other cities. You can start taking care about your honeymoon, to look for a destination and a travel agency to take care of trip organization. Talk with the priest again to make sure it’s available that day.

With 2-3 months before the wedding, you need to order a cake, buy all the accessories you need, both for you and the groom but also for decorating the hall and the church. Order the favors and the cookies if they aren’t from the same cafeterie from where you’ve ordered the wedding cake. Look for transportation for your wedding day, especially if you have the wedding out of town. Buy wedding rings, unless you already have them from engagement.
With a month before the big day, you should set the wedding menu, have the confirmations from your guests, put up the last details of organization, decorations, flowers and dress if it suffered some alterations.
